Ever wanted to be a travel writer?
- Have you ever dreamed about traveling the world and getting paid to write about your travels?
- Have you ever wanted to share your travel stories, pictures and videos and get recognition from a global audience?
- Have you ever wanted to go some place exotic like Belize or close to home like the Outer Banks? And stay in a cool vacation home?
If you answered “Yes!” to all the above, then we’ve got a really cool opportunity for you! This is your chance to win an experience of being a travel writer. Its your shot at winning a trip that you get to “write home about.”
Plus, its easy and effortless! So here is what you need to do!

Share an experience! Write a review of a place where you have traveled on vacation in 250 words or less (word count was increased). You can be funny. You can tell a story, But most importantly, the experience should be yours. It must be authentic and told from your own point of view. We recommend including pictures and videos of your trip to help share your story, but this is not necessary to win.

Ahh! The Prize!
If you love to talk travel, live travel, breathe travel, then should you win, you will get more of that! You will get a once in a lifetime experience of being a travel writer.
1st place: All expenses paid for as a travel writer to Belize or Key West
2nd place: Housing and meal expenses paid for experience as a travel writer to and East Coast destination (examples listed below)
The grand prize 1st place winner will get to go to Key West or Belize and stay in a resort condo or vacation home. This is an all-expenses-paid trip where you will experience being a travel writer in a destination. At your option, you can either enjoy the the trip as a vacation or make it a workation (only if you want), where you can work with the media and write about the area. You will have many opportunities to write stories and create videos of your experience. Viscape will assist with working with local and international media to get you recognized and published.
The second place winner will get to stay in a vacation home or condo at an east coast destination. (Housing and some meals included). The destination might be: Cape Cod/Nantucket, Outer Banks, Miami or the Hamptons. This person can either enjoy this as a vacation or create a career opportunity as a travel writer. If you choose the latter, you will have an opportunity to write stories and work with the media in a similar manner as the grand prize winner!

To submit your Travel Reviews, follow the guidelines below:
- Select a destination and write a story or review on www.viscape.com.
- Write as many reviews as you like. This will increase your chances of winning.
- Reviews should be thoughtful, authentic and from the heart.
- 250 word limit. The review should be no longer than 250 words.
- Picture and videos help. Pictures and videos greatly enhance the quality of the review. This is strongly recommended.
- Complete your profile. Viscape would like to know as much about the author as possible. We encourage you to complete your profile with interesting facts, pictures videos, and so forth.
- Review the destination. The review must speak to the destination for which the review is being written. Viscape currently covers 330 destinations.
- There is no formal application to enter. You just sign up on the site and start writing.
- Deadline: There is no deadline of time. The first 1000 reviews qualify to win. The contest will continue until we reach 1000 reviews.
- Under no circumstances do Viscape employees and contractors DO NOT qualify to win.
