Just 30 minutes outside Halifax, Peggy’s Cove is a must visit when going to Nova Scotia.

It was incredible how rapidly the temperature changed in just the short 30 minute drive from Halifax. Halifax was pushing 90-degrees. It was an unusually hot day. But when we arrived to Peggy’s Cove, the temperature dropped to the 60-degree range, with wind gusts coming off the ocean.

There were warning signs everywhere on the rock, “Beware of the sea.” Between the strong wind gusts, the thrashing ocean and the strong ocean currents, its no wonder Peggy’s Cove wasn’t more settled. The town clearly is a fishing village – a place of work. But not much of a place of shelter and comfort. There were almost no homes and maybe one restaurant, a few tourist shops, and that’s it.

So how is it that this nearly barren little town is the most photographed place in Nova Scotia?

Find out why Peggy’s Cove is the most photographed fishing village in Nova Scotia by viewing our 360-video just as the sun is setting! Its a stunner. Eery, barren, and stunningly beautiful at the same time!

Watch the video to see this world famous fishing village of Peggy’s Cove!

We also managed to see the monument for the Swiss flight 111 that crash-landed in the ocean within a few miles of Peggy’s Cove in 1998.
