When you think of Belize, it sounds exotic and pristine.  Situated between Guatemala and Mexico’s popular Yucatan coast, it boasts some of the world’s most amazing white sand, turquoise water beaches.  Most people don’t realize this but Belize is a tiny little country.  Its in Central America on the Caribbean side.  So its fairly sheltered from hurricanes.  Its the size of Vermont but has the population of Arlington County, Virginia of approximately 200,000 people.

With English as the predominant language, its no wonder its become so popular for retirees and vacation home owners.  As as American, you can feel right at home.  Well, almost.  You can still snap of a piece of Ambergris Caye real estate cheaply when comparing the price of beach front property to other parts of the Caribbean.

Ambergris Caye has become one of the more popular areas for real estate development, but its still very pristine and undiscovered.  Ambergris Caye is an island off the coast of Belize just 35 miles north of Belize City.  San Pedro is the largest big city on the island.  Here is a brief snippet of the Ambergris Caye destination from the Viscape website…….
