Yes, we are talking politics here.  The politics of vacationing.  Sure, the election may come down to which candidate voters feel can get us out of this economic mess (aren’t you tired of Brian Williams’ doomsday economic reports about how McCain and Obama plan to fix it?), but today we will examine a lighter “issue” that may influence your vote: vacationing.

So, let’s compare the candidates based on where they have been vacationing over the past year.  This critical information might just determine who you vote for (it’s better than spending your Friday nights watching debates).   I, for one, am voting for the candidate who frequents the same vacation destinations I do.  Random?  Maybe, but you can tell a lot about a person by where they go.  If you’re with me on this, check out our research.  It will help you make an “informed” decision.  (Come on, it’s better than choosing based on who wears a nicer suit and has a better campaign slogan!)

Obama’s Vacation Hot Spots

Obama’s from Hawaii, and this summer his family’s Hawaiian vacation spot was Honolulu. Senator Obama can play golf, find a friendly pick-up basketball game, body surf, and take the family to the local shaved ice shack for dessert.Surf at sunset with Obama on Waikiki Beach!

Spring break in the Virgin Islands?  For three days in March, Obama took a break with his family to visit the paradise of St. Thomas.

McCain’s Vacation Hot Spot

McCain tends to be tight-lipped about his leisure travels.  Could it be because he has been accused of owning over 11 homes?  Well anyway, after long days on the campaign trail, this man heads straight to his plush house in Sedona, where he relaxes in the desert sun of Arizona.

Okay so, now knowing a little more about the presidential candidates’  travel choices, who will you choose?  I think I’ll cast my vote based on whom I would rather ride the wave with!
