Summer birthday party in the Hamptons? Nope, not Gatsby and Daisy, but rather Dan and Caroline, your fearless founders of Viscape. Sorry, we’re not saying how old Dan is, but we will tell you that he and Caroline attended a polo party. No, they didn’t ride horses and smash balls with mallets: there was too much socializing to do.
Sure, polo was being played, but the intense matches were well-complemented by a less serious social environment that had the feel of a tailgate party sponsored by Neiman Marcus. The drinks were flowing and the patrons were mingling-it’s all about the “lux” life at the Hamptons polo matches. Did I mention Neimans? Yes, because shopping is all the rage at a polo party: gorgeous jewelry; designer clothing; fabulous hats. Preferred drink: champagne. And smoking is allowed. But please, only the finest cigars.
When Dan and Caroline finally made their way over to the polo match, they found the people watching more entertaining than the horses so they headed back to the tents. Caroline and Dan mingled with the likes of models, movie stars, journalists, and TV talk show hosts. A certain “Lohan” chatted up Caroline! Next year, when Dan turns 3…(opps, almost slipped up), he and Caroline plan to escape again to the Hamptons to infiltrate the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Maybe a certain “Madonna” will be there.
