Let’s back track to Thursday evening at 10:00PM. Everyone at Viscape’s Unofficial Launch Party was invited over to L2 (a private hush-hush club in Georgetown’s Cady’s Ally) for more dancing, drinks and reveling – A perfect finale to Viscape’s successful launch party. Intimidating bouncers guarded the frosted glass doors, scrutinizing each Viscaper’s outfit from head-to-toe. After we “passed inspection,” we walked down a long club entrance way where a beautiful woman greeted us, opening the door into a room filled with energy. Blue back lights drenched the club’s stone walls. The bar tab was open and flowing. The only thing missing? SHOES!

Our defense…There is no sign outside L2 saying, “No shoes, no shirt, no service.” So, how would our unnamed party-goer know that his designer sandals were against club attire? We all know that what is acceptable for women does not fly with men when it comes to fashion ( Jimmy Choo sandals…need I say more?). This unnamed source (protecting his identity for future partying purposes) was shocked to find out, that he simply could not get in because his toes were exposed. So, he borrowed some shoes from a fellow “Viscaper” who was already in the club. The drop was made by another unspecified individual who is also in our witness protection program.

What happened? Dancing and drinking in socks, the generous shoe-giver ended up getting escorted out into the street by a hefty bouncer. The shoe-giver, the shoe-deliverer and the sandal wearer were all asked to leave as punishment for their transgression.

The rest of the after-party went on without them, but that is not say we did not miss them!

Thanks to L2 for an awesome after-party!

Could one of these friendly Viscapers be a perpetrator of the “shoe-gate” scandal?
